I incorporate a lot of variations of different abdominal, back and glute exercises when working on core and improving posture, stability and balance . Here are two examples that help stabilize the mid section while helping improve core muscles . 1) Body saw planks (with gliders !) the gliders make the workout more difficult the father you go away. #workouttips try to not let your shoulders go pass your elbows when coming up . 2) medicine ball targeting the obliques (twist both sides) it’s important to keep your back straight and your core tight here . It can be tempting to hold your breath when performing the twist so Make sure to Inhale and exhale when doing so. . If you sit at a desk for work, for example, your strengthened core will help you sit with better posture. 👏👏👏 It would appear that introducing a new exercise of a round-robin has become a number one hit in the Monday class. The round-robin promotes creative thought, and allows for a different style of speech delivery〰️one of unrehearsed creativity. 😁 . In the Little Speakers Program it would appear that a Mammoth went in a rocket ship to the moon which got stuck on it’s tusk, but not before it destroyed the world! 🐘 . Many of the children offered to start each rolling story off, and it was fabulous to see even new students throw themselves into the exercise with enormous enthusiasm. . We also adjusted another new student’s posture. . ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ‘Certificate of Effort’ awards were presented to Nina, Joe and Will. . You guys rock! 🙌

Pilates has been a part of my life in different ways for over 30 years! Initially as a full time dance student and for many years as support, strength and maintenance as a professional dancer. 👯‍♀️💃🏻 It was a natural transition to combine my love of movement and my love of teaching ❤️ Now 20 years have passed teaching Pilates 1:1 and groups throughout Australia and NZ in fitness environments, in homes, in halls, in private studios, my own businesses and those of others. In every situation I appreciate the trust given to me to help someone with their body and to enhance their quality of life. To increase well being through improved strength, balance and coordination - to bring awareness of the body, alignment, posture and ease of pain and restriction. It has always benefited me personally whether 17 years ago as a pregnant Mum-to-be, or now as a busy single Mum, still teaching Pilates and running my other businesses!
