#Repost @movefit_monkey - - - - - - How to Fake Mobility — ❌In the 1 Clip you see how i can FAKE my Shoulder Flexion with my whole Spine and Scapula. ➡️If your Goal is to train your mobility you better get in a position where you cannot CHEAT more Range. ➡️A blocked position a wall for example or an obstacle that gives you biofeedback is perfect to keep your clean form and progress with time. — ✅Both Clips (2,3)after the first One could be used to train shoulder flexion! These are not the only positions you can train your flexion in they are just an example. ➡️In the 2 Clip i just block my lumbar Spine with a simple posterior pelvic tilt and everything engaged. I focus 100% only on shoulder flexion. ➡️In the 3 Clip i placed myself in he so called CHILDPOSE. In this Pose nearly 100% of possible compensations can‘t occure. — Be Honest to yourself. But, since nothing works in isolation, many miss the point. . Nothing can replace deadlifts. Whether you're training to increase performance or rehab from injury, deadlifts are a staple exercise. . TOP 5 GYM MISTAKES BY 💥@deskboundtherapy 💥 Please like and Follow @fitness_importancs ✅These are my top 5 gym mistakes I often see made on a weekly basis. · ❌ Not timing your rest periods is a huge mistakes as rest is a very important training variable that can me use to measure working capacity and recovery. · ❌ Skipping warm up and cool down is a big no-no. Spend quality time warming up and cooling down after training for mobility, recovery and injury prevention! · ❌ Dont lift more than you can control with good form. It's not impressive when you get injured. Back off the weight and focus on form first. · ❌ Not logging you workout is a huge mistake and can stall progress big time. Facepulls: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If you have been following the trend of shoulder releases recently then the next stage is to start strengthening your shoulders. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ If you have any shoulder issues, discomfort or imbalances this is my go to. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ It's a great exercise to get the rotator cuff and posterior shoulder working well. It's awesome as a rehab exercises but also very easy to load so progression is easy to do! Watch how your shoulder and postural health change as you get stronger with this movement. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Top tips: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1. No ego. If you start with a weight that's too heavy you start to compensate with your head movement forward and placing stress on the neck and trap activation, as well as leaning back and arching the lower back. Keep your spine neutral, braced and strong. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 2. Make sure you use an over hand grip with the band or cable, and aim to get your thumbs to your ears. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 3. LOWER BACK HACK PART 2 -- Who saw @jamessmithpt upload the other day? I'm going to call that part one. Swipe across to see it. -- Although he's not wrong and it's a good test especially for BEGGINNERS, doing this test might scare a few of you guys into thinking that you don't have enough mobility to squat. -- While you can usually improve your mobility, unless there are structural issues preventing you from doing so, it doesn't exactly tell you the full picture. -- The squat is a little more complex than isolated hip flexion in an unloaded position, so much more happens during this compound movement. This test doesn't take into account core and hip activation/stability. Some of you more experienced lifters will be able to get into different positions depending on how well you can control your hips and core. -- You see, with this test your back will start to round because it's the path of least resistance. However with your core engaged your back will become more rigid and you might be able to get a lot more mobility from that hip than you'd expect! -- PRO TIP: Prioritise the skill of core engagement and control before any difficult lifts!

Noticing that I'm getting my arms under faster with the wider grips recommended by @jay_gar_see_ya but I'm not picking up my feet on the triple extension (ankle, knee, and hip) ✔️✔️✔️ • This workout was 9 deadlifts, 5 squat cleans, and 3 thrusters 💀 • All this happened BEFORE we did the Chelsea WOD 🥴 today my body was feeling it but I also feel stronger each day! 💪
