Meaning, those nutrients can be quickly absorbed and give your body what its craving. Dont think it will magically cure you if you drink this then treat your body as a dumpster for the rest of the day. With my recent and full on ‘geek mode’ research into gut health, it led me to the question: ’to snack or not to snack?’. For a long time it’s been highly encouraged + popularised by the media to snack every 3 hours to keep our metabolism going. But, believe it or not, in terms of your gut health, it may be best to stick to your main meals instead 🤔. . You see, letting your digestive system rest in-between 3 balanced meals a day AND overnight (fasting), should leave you feeling pretty healthy and less bloated throughout the day (NOTE: Important for those suffering with gut health). Not only does this allow the muscles to recover but it also supports the gut lining. As this is something that I’ve personally put to the test, I can 100% confirm that less snacking is the bloat solution for me. Not the best of news for a lil’ snack monster like me, however 🙈👀. . Saying that, we’re all individual and what may work for some, may not work for others. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still the snack queen but when possible (aka, the snack monster doesn’t come running), I try to limit my snacks and instead, increase the portion size of my meals (to keep me feeling full for longer).
