My favourite Maori proverb as it speaks true to my heart. Coming from Jamaican Cuban decent having my culture fragmented by the slave trade it breaks my heart to see young Maori embrace MTV African America culture at the expense of one of the most well preserved and rich indigenous cultures on this planet. EVERY kiwi should make the effort to embrace such a beautiful culture. I’m still blown away by my amazing Waitangi day. Little clip shot on the @reddigitalcinema @redscarletw and @sigmaphotonz 50mm
