Chinese Panini šŸ‘‡A fusion ofĀ ItalianĀ andĀ Orientalcuisine, the Chinese Panini is a sumptuous snack of Panini bread, grilled with a filling that combines juicy veggies, crunchy fried noodles and tongue-tickling sauces.Ā  Preparation Time:Ā 20 mins Ā Cooking Time:Ā 30 mins Ā Total Time:Ā 50 mins Makes 4 paninis Ingredients For The Chinese Stuffing 1 tbspĀ oil 1/2 cupĀ sliced spring onions whites 2 tspĀ garlic (lehsun) paste 1/2 cupĀ carrot juliennes 1/2 cupĀ shredded cabbage 1/2 cupĀ capsicumĀ (red , yellow and green) saltĀ to taste 1 1/2 tbspĀ schezuan sauce 2 tspĀ tomato ketchup 1/2 tspĀ soy sauce 1/2 tspĀ vinegar 1/2 tspĀ sugar 1/4 cupĀ chopped spring onion greens Other Ingredients 4Ā hot dog rolls 10 tspĀ butterĀ for spreading and brushing 4 tbspĀ fried noodles Method For the chinese stuffing Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan, add the spring onions and garlic paste and sautĆ© on a medium flame for 2 minutes. Add the carrot, cabbage, capsicum and salt, mix well and cook on a high flame for 2 minutes, while stirring continuously. Add the schezuan sauce, tomato ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar and sugar, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute. Switch off the flame, add the spring onion greens, mix well and keep aside. How to proceedDivide the chinese stuffing into 4 equal portions.Slit each hot dog roll horizontally using a sharp knife. Apply 1 tsp of butter on each side. Take one bread roll and on the lower halve of the bread roll put a portion of the chinese stuffing and spread it evenly. Sprinkle 1 tbsp of fried noodles evenly over it. Close the bread roll and apply Ā½ tsp of butter on top of the bread and grill in a greased pre-heated sandwich griller for 5 minutes till it turns crispy and brown from both the sides. How to proceed Place a roti on a clean, and dry surface.Put Ā½ tbsp of chilli sauce and spread it evenly.Spread 2 tbsp of cabbage over it and 1Ā½ tbsp of onions.Spread Ā½ cup of the prepared schezwan noodle stuffing and sprinkle 2 tbsp of cheese over it.Sprinkle 1 tsp of chaat masala over it and roll it up tightly.Repeat steps 1 to 5 to make 3 more frankies.Serve immediately.
