When there’s a break in the rain, you take it!!! I’m pretty sure most people are experiencing some sort of unusual cold/rainy/snowy weather right now. I feel like I haven’t seen the sun in days. Today there was an amazing break in the storm that left clear blue skies and sunshine (for like 5 mins) so I had to drop everything and get out there. . If you can’t tell from this pic, I felt like I was flying. I know it’s from all the speed work I’ve been doing because I’m feeling much more comfortable at faster paces. I wish the whole run was this nice and sunny - the majority of my miles were in the rain ☔️. Tudo certo Hoje tivemos o prazer de participar de um super treino beneficente na cidade de Aquiraz que contou com atletas de diversas cidades fazendo aquilo que mais gostamos que é correr... E o melhor de tudo, correr por uma boa causa TREINÃO EXTREMO NAS DUNAS... Vamos lá começar a falar de mais essa avenchuuuura Recebi o convite para participar desse treino do nosso parceiro Evandro que é um dos organizadores e logo me interessei pois já fazia algum tempo que não participava de algum treino ou corrida nesse esquema. Tivemos o Cascatrail ano passado mas essa foi uma corrida a parte... O que eu queria mesmo era algo mais parecido com a extinta Caprius Cross que particularmente eu curtia muito Inscrição simbólica de 800g de leite em pó por pessoa mas felizmente graças ao bom coração dos amigos consegui arrecadar muito mais e com muita alegria fiz essa ponte de entrega... Gostaria de agradecer imensamente a todos que colaboraram e podem ter certeza que todos serão abençoados pois tudo aquilo que fazemos de bom coração nos retornará Então runnnnbora encarar esses novos 6,7k Largada as 6:30 da praça como previsto onde pegamos um asfalto por não muito mais que 300 metros e já demos de cara com a estrada de terra que por conta da chuva na madrugada estava do jeito que gostamos kkk, só a lama... Boa parte do percurso também com areia frouxa e diversos buracos com um sobe e desce infinito fez o Zé sofrer mas só presta assim... Tinha horas que ficava abafado que o camarada queria era correr mais rápido pra sair dali kkk Sinceramente curti o percurso e creio que nas próximas edições de para aumentar os kms para que possamos chegar um pouco mais perto da praia mesclando terra, areia e asfalto... Eita que ia ficar show Ah, e vale salientar que ainda tivemos um ponto de água bacana no percurso e também a galera dos staffs recolhendo os resíduos deixando tudo bonitinho como deve ser Enfim... Muito bom esses tipo de treinos solidários... Sabemos que são simples mas que são feito de coração e com o objetivo de sempre ajudar ao próximo, o que é o mais importante CONTINUA NOS COMENTÁRIOS..

Not my fastest run but today I went in the morning and I didn't drink my coffee to avoid raising my HR unnecessary but the drawback is I did not have that much energy and after 15 minutes I started having pain: in the front something similar to period pain and at the same time in my back. I decided to keep going no matter what. For the back pain I tried to position my hips in a neutral position (no inclined to much too the front not to the back) in a way I learned in the hipopressives class where I found I tend to arch my back too much. Correcting the posture made the pain go away. Do you remember to check your posture while running?

This morning was hard.. this might make some of you want to throw rocks at me (sorry 😬) but it was hard to swallow my pride and run “easy” at parkrun. I’m a massively competitive person so this felt very wrong but I’m actually pretty proud I kept on plodding totalling 5.5 miles for an easy day before a big effort tomorrow. I am a 💯 effort kinda gal or nothing, there is no inbetween and it’s the easy days I struggle with most! I guess it’s a case of maranoia which is going to bite me hard when I taper I know 😂 Best get practising!! I’m proud of my 100 something place today as I won over that annoying part of my brain that tells me I’m not trying hard enough or that if I run easy I will never find any pace ever again (irrational ... I know!) Spending today as a bit of a pre marathon test so taking time for all the carbs (second breakfast 🥞😇), a bath and roll to ease the doms from yesterday’s leg session 😳 (and from shutting the front door handle onto my bum trying to get the shopping into the flat 😬😂). SHORT BLACK DRESS 12km/7.4miles @ 5:26/8:44 pace HR 142 ....😬 Did not get enough sleep and therefore enough recovery last night, and this noticeably affected my run today. Sleep really does aid in recovery and if you're not being a nanna and getting enough, you will struggle. . Lethargic and ponderous would describe it but that's ok. Tonight being Saturday night and all, I'm going to show all the party animals what's what by eating a ton of carbs and then gate crashing my bed by 9pm. . The real party is a Sunday long run and I'm wearing my best short black dress to this ball!

🎇🎈🎉🎊 18 miles @ 6'53 ~ ~ Text a friend last night to see what his group were running this morning. He replied "18 miles, flat, 7'00-7'10s" ❌It was not flat. The first 9 miles were rolling, challenging hills. ❌It was not 7'00-7'10s either!! 🏃🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️But I did it ✔️✔️✔️ I am tired but not exhausted. I think it's important not to overtrain with your long runs. I could have finished faster, I didn't empty the tank. Too many athletes turn up on race day #exhaused from running too hard. #trainingtips #marathontips Running with friends is so much easier than running alone! There are more distractions and the miles fly by.
