I love morning practices - my body does NOT! I so love to start the day with a short practice of Pranayama, Meditation and Asana. But when it comes to Asana it becomes hard. In the mornings I hardly can stretch my legs, twists are sooo stiff, backbends sooo tiny and forward folds cut my breath... My body needs 20 minutes practice to "wake up", before the practice feels good. But most of the times that is all I have. 20 minutes. For one month now I have hardly been practicing. And not eating well. I was bathing in a dark place of my self and just slowly getting out of it. My body answers this at once with pain and stiffness. Even the evening practice the day before this morning practice was a torture. No, Yoga isn't always nice and doesn't always feel good. But God! Day 23 of #PinchaParty is supposed to be a Mexican pincha or forearm balance which I misjudged from the thumbnail as I did it in advance 🤦‍♀️. But as I could never do the full pose anyway and I already have a wall assisted day 22, I’ll post the “Mexican headstand” that I did instead. I was actually pretty proud of it, it felt like my feet nearly touched the floor! 🤣 Proprioception is so off in these inverted backbends for me, it’s unbelievable... 😅 . ||MYSORE|| I got ready to go to my final Mysore class but a flat said I was going nowhere!! Jairo and his hottness plugged my tire but by then it was too late to go to Mysore. So I rolled out my mat upstairs and went to work!! I got this recorded before the doc called and stopped my recording. ONENESS. That magical thing we spend much of our lives searching for or experiencing or not experiencing. But, what is it??? Well, it is the very essence of what we are. It is our connection to the earth, to nature, to each other, to EVERYTHING. We are ONE. We are all connected. And, how do we feel it? We can feel it many different ways and for some people it can be a split second and for others it can be hours or days. It is rarely permanent but some can embody it permanently to a large extent in their lives. I can say that I have spent more time in oneness then in separation. When I feel separated I know it’s a lie and snap out of it as soon as I can. To make this state another level of being is high art - but it is something you can learn. It is connected with breathing and movement, but can happen in lots of different ways. Deep and whole body orgasms can be moments of Oneness, where we feel completely connected with our partner from heart to heart, but also to the earth we lie on. It is far beyond something simply sexual in normal terms. Tantric can also create moments of Oneness, where that energy between two hearts can be so powerful it connects you to each other and everything around you. Giving birth to Tapio was probably my mostvintense tine of Oneness. I was trained and allowed to breathe through pain and fear and experienced a new level of heightened feeling that meant child birth was truly a moment when I felt connect with my baby, my husband and the earth. It was a pure feeling of where we all come from. My husband felt the same. ONENESS. After child birth, I felt naturally high, vibrant, ecstatic for more then two weeks, needing little sleep because I felt so happy and connected to EVERYTHING. With my work I also feel incredible moments of Oneness and so do my clients. We have a heart connection, which opens up our connection to everything around us. It is truly beautiful. Oneness is not something that is available to some and not others. Oneness is ALL OF US. It is just that some of us allow it or have learned their tools to allow to experience it. It is our very essence. Where we came from. Inhale, expand, feel, let go, exhale....❤💫

Over the last three years I have been blessed to learn

~Self-practice Over the last three years I have been blessed to learn much from this lot, about being in yoga. Today I say goodbye to teaching them. Today I have actioned my plan to withdraw from two of my weekly classes to afford me the proper time to concentrate on my own yoga practice. It has been a slow realisation that the vitality in teaching is to practice what you preach and if you preach deep you too must reach deep. For many years I have tried to teach as much as I can. Now I turn my earnest attention instead to delving deep. To all the yogis I say goodbye to....Thank you for joining me and may we come together again....May your self-practice remain sustainable and appropriate. 💯🕉🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️
