Last Friday Throwback Was office annual party last week so we decided to have some longer lunch and went to the ever busy Haji Lane and had a meal at I am cafe. Been a while since I personally went there and the revamp was quite eye pleasing. Had the Boss Burger. Was a but unsatisfactory for me but maybe it was partly because I was a bit hangry. The patty was packed well though. You can taste the spice used in the patty. Mean patty but it was a mediocre burger. Satayyyy @makansutrasingapore ! Marinated minced meats of chicken, mutton or beef, blended with traditional herbs and spices and then charred over open flames, served with a tangy peanut sauce. I like the chicken satay here, very tender, moist and aromatic. The herbs and spices used were not too sweet or overpowering as you may find in most satay joints now. A big Thank You to Sumeet for trusting in my abilities and letting me have his Resturant. As a restaurateur, he extremely focused on showcasing Traditional Indian food. Always open to new ideas he constantly motivating his team and most importantly ensuring it is a fun place to work. His cool, candid approach sets him apart. . It was an honour cooking with Chef Azad who is a maverick when it comes to Indian cuisines. Thank you sir! . Noor, the quietest, most efficient Sous Chef, is an absolute asset. Thank you very much! .
