(6 reps) . ✊BENCH PRESS: 95, 115, 135 (6 reps), 155, 📼170 (7 reps) . 🚣PENDLAY ROWS: 95, 135, 145, 155, 📼165 (10 reps) . ⚓BODY WEIGHT DIPS: <🦘SKIPPED> ________________________________________ 📒 Workout Notes: 🎙️ Too many 🍻happy hours this week. At least, I decided to get this workout in to 💦sweat it all out. . 💺 The squats above 185+ lb. have been feeling heavier just like they have been when I did my workout during my 💼✈️Seattle business trip. As I was doing my 185-225 lb. sets, 🤔I really wondered if I actually got much weaker. The barbell with weight felt different as it pushed down on my back. ☝️Regardless, I got the 260 lb. set done. 🤔Hmm, after I increase the weight on squats a few more times this month, I'm going to go on a real diet. . ✊ Usually, I do 🚣rows right after 💺squats, but today I followed the Stronglifts Workout 🅰️ exercise format. I haven't done 🚣rows after 💺squats in over a year. Chasing down 4pps on the hacksquat. One extra rep at a time or by adding 1.25kg a side when I can I'm gradually getting closer each session. This was 145kg x 6 reps. 07.12.19 120kg. No peak, no hype, a conservative max single. - When I first started powerlifting, my desire for progress came from an unhealthy place. Training was emotionally fuelled, and any session where I didn’t lift heavier or lift more was “not good enough”. It’s easy to get caught up in attempting PB’s all the time and forget that it’s the actual training and volume where the magic and growth occur. Years ago, I used to attempt PB’s just for the sake of it, or because “I felt good”. I’m sure every power lifter has been there. Now, any max out outside competitions are calculated and planned. I don’t attempt heavier weights if my body and the session inform me no. I walked in today with a tentative goal of 120kgs, after promising @coachmanmattias to use knee sleeves and a belt...and a personal goal to listen to my warm up attempts. To be able to walk away after this lift, not needing to completely max out is something the power lifter I was 3 years ago would not have been able to do - that alone is progress for me. - Coached by @coachmanmattias Spotted by @nick.nom @thulanigapara
