Prep Day 6, Squat with accessories. Weighed in before my lift at 218, which I’m pleased with, the work is paying off. Went with mediocre weight today for sets of 6 and 3 as long with accessories work. Everything moved pretty smooth. I choose to focus on bracing my core today and not wearing a belt because I feel like sometime I tend to lean on the belt to help me, and that’s not very good. Beltless work is the way to go to improve your strength of bracing your core. Hit 3 accessories work after. - Front squat 3x8. I haven’t front squated in a long time so it felt pretty rough. Choose to keep the weight light. - Depth Paused Squats 3x4. Focused on having my feet more narrow than on my normal squat and held it at the bottom for about a second or two. - Pin Squats 3x5. Continued to keep the weight light because this is the first time I’ve ever done these. These were kind of bouncy because my bar isn’t even for some reason but I’m working on it Day by day. - Did some more leg work after finishing up the accessories. I wanted to do a superset of sissy squats and glute bridges but I couldn’t do the sissy squats on the leg extension machine like I was planning. So instead I just did some back because a bigger back helps everything. Iso Rows 4x10 one set per handle. - All in all a good day. The grind don’t stop.
