Carrot cake loaf with lemony icing ✨✨✨ With Easter coming up (Orthodox Easter), Im testing out different carrot cake recipes and this one, by far is a winner! Makes the house smell like holiday! Recipe is from @ohsheglows Intredients: FOR THE LOAF: 1 1/2 cups (185 g) finely grated peeled carrot* 1 tablespoon (7 g) ground flax seed 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon (140 mL) pure maple syrup 3/4 cup (185 mL) almond milk or other plant milk 1/3 cup (80 mL) grapeseed oil or melted coconut oil** 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon ground ginger 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt 1 1/2 cups (230 g) whole-grain spelt flour*** 1 cup (100 g) walnuts, chopped FOR THE GLAZE: 1/4 cup (60 mL) raw cashew butter 1/4 cup (60 mL) full-fat coconut cream, at room temperature**** 2 tablespoons (30 mL) pure maple syrup, at room temperature 1 tablespoon (15 mL) fresh lemon zest, or to taste Dash fine sea salt Directions: 1. Preheat oven to 350f 2. Mix all wet ingretients together in a large bowl (including carrot and ground flax) 3. Add the rest of the ingredients to the same bowl, mislx to incorporate and pour into an 8x4 inch loaf pan (lined with parchment paper or lightly greased) 4.Sprinkle the rest of the chopped walnuts on top. 5. Bake for 40-50 mins and let cool before cutting. Don’t limit yourself to what you think you can do, go a step beyond that to what you think you can’t do and show yourself you can do it. A positive mindset is huge; tell yourself you can and you will, say you can’t and you won’t. Keep grinding and pushing for your goals no matter what they are. They could be workout goals to deadlift a certain weight or to workout for a certain period of time a week. It could be work goals to meet a certain deadline or hit a certain financial amount of sales. Your goals could be personal to spend more time with family or eat dinner as a family 4 days a week. You could have health goals such as eating more veggies and less candy. There are so many different areas of life you can set goals in so go set some today. Write them down and look at them everyday so you have a chance of actually hitting those goals. In some cases teeth with decay won’t cause pain. It’s not the AMOUNT of sugar you have it’s the FREQUENCY at which you have it! . Try and keep those sweet treats to a minimum and if you can’t resist the temptation then try and have them with your Main Meals (Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner) . Even then still be aware of the risks of other health complications of a high sugary diet: Heart disease, Diabetes, Obesity... . We caught this decay 🦠 in good time ⏰ and carried out a white composite filling to make sure the tooth looked like a normal tooth. Многие пытаются с этим состоянием бороться, придумывать себе какие-то левые не преимущественные задачи и кратковременные цели, что куда лучше,чем пассивное разлагание по вечерам на диване. . Но лучше всего было бы принять его, то состояние тела, то состояние души, в котором ты находишься и побыть в нем какое-то время. Зная что это вряд-ли что-то изменить в сложной ситуации, никто и не прибегает к такому. Но оно изменит, правда поможет, избавляя себя от лишней тревоги, напряжения, которое мешает здравому смыслу быть здесь и сейчас, самоанализу, оно мешает разрушая целостность мыслей. Если я знаю, что не набираю сегодня свою норму бжу в рационе, я не буду париться и корить себя, что не следую режиму, что недобор по белкам или перебор по жирам, что где-то не посчитала и тд, я просто приму эти факторы, их не изменить сегодня, сейчас, их можно улучшить завтра, послезавтра. Утро вечера мудренее. И таким образом, остаток для все же можно провести без негативного самоанализа, а лишь внести коррективы и пожелания на завтрашний день исходя из сегодняшнего.
