I include desserts in my diet too. I do watch how often I eat certain desserts, but I still include them. . Throwing it back to the beginning of my journey🖤 I had a lot of controversy over the left picture. People questioned if it was me because they couldn’t see my face. What people don’t really understand is that when you’re at that size you never really want to jump in front of cameras. This is actually a small part of a picture that my mom took. As usual I was to the side hiding from the camera but she managed to get me in there anyways and I’m glad she did. I don’t have a lot of before pictures because I’m either behind everyone trying to cover my body or straight up hiding from the camera. One of my biggest regrets will always be the lack of pictures I have with my kids while they were babies. My weight held me back from even something as small as that. It’s something I have to live with now and hold on to the regret of it like so many things I missed out on. If I can make this change in my life and completely change my lifestyle, I truly believe anyone can. It’s hard work. But, it’s the most rewarding work I’ve ever done. Don’t give up on yourselves guys. I know what it’s like to feel like it’s useless to try because you can never change your ways. I know how overwhelming the thought of massive weight loss is. But until you take that first step you’ll never get any closer. Step by step and day by day is how I did it. There were days when I wanted to quit but I didn’t. I’m damn proud of that too. Don’t quit on yourself. You are the only person who can conquer this for yourself. Happy Tuesday guys:) I always do transformations with my pictures of me before I started but I still love looking back and seeing how far I’ve come from the middle of my journey as well. I was already well into my journey and feeling incredible about myself in May. I never thought I’d come this much further but at that point in my journey (May) I wasn’t even close to stopping. Everyone always asks how I did it. One day at a time is how I did it. Baby steps. I didn’t overwhelm myself and I allowed myself to adjust to one thing before bringing on something new. Theres so much more than just diet you have to work on to achieve massive weight loss. It’s a mental battle. Work from the inside out guys! Weight loss doesn’t start at what you eat and end with how much you work out. There’s so so so much more to it than that. When they call this a journey it’s because you have to dig deep, find yourself and put the work into fixing what needs to be fixed. I’m constantly working on myself and I love it. I was down 73lbs in that left photo. I remember I was feelin myself down in LA! Then I saw the pictures & got reminded I had a long way to go. 😬 I often feel like it’s never ending though. Looking at the right picture I feel like yes, I’ve come a long way. I have way more confidence, I wear stuff I only thought about wearing, I feel so much better. But yet I still point out my flaws. My left arm looks terrible & I almost didn’t want to post it just because of that one reason. I zoomed in circled the saggy loose skin & sent it back to my friend. Like “look at that”. But why do that? It’s all apart of the process. There are a lot of moves in here that are HARD as hard gets for me. However, I modify or work through it because I know I’ll get better and will improve my form and ability in time. Know how I know that? Because there was a point in time where I vividly remember not even being able to do my modifications that I’m doing here. . We start at different spots. We may have different goals. However, we’re all evolving. We’re all just trying to improve. We all have things specific to us we struggle with. We’re all human. So when you look around and see someone light years “ahead” of you, remember that they struggle with things too. They still fail. They still have to modify certain things or struggle to break past their present limits. Use the modifications and the struggles to drive you to the next goal and don’t be afraid to look back where you came from. I am forever grateful for the girl who decided at 246 pounds she was brave enough to take the steps necessary to change her life. I am forever inspired and proud of the girl who met and maintained her 100 pound weight loss goal when that was her focus. I am humbled by my past but grateful that I am now in a position where I am healthy and wise enough to know how I want to move forward to live the rest of my life. ... This is my life, my body and my journey. I will never give up on it. I will never go back to the 246 pound girl I started at, but I will refuse to value or love myself less as a person because I have gained a few pounds back. I am worth more than that: YOU are worth more than that, and there is too much life out there waiting for us to live for us to let a number on the scale dictate our happiness. Slide the arms alongside the body with the palms facing down. The fingertips should be lightly touching the heels. 2. Press the feet into the floor, inhale and lift the hips up, rolling the spine off the floor. Lightly squeeze the knees together to keep the knees hip-width apart. 3. Press down into the arms and shoulders to lift the chest up. Engage the legs, buttocks and mula bandha to lift the hips higher. 4. Breathe and hold for 4-8 breaths. 5.
