I prepared yellow cake mix according to package and added a dropper of yellow cake mix drops. I baked it in an 8x8 lined with parchment paper. Once done I removed from the oven and let the cake cool. Once cooked I removed the parchment paper and cake from pan and then added just the cake back into it. I then poked holes in the cake using the back of a wooden spoon.⁠ .⁠ I took 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk, 1/2 cup heavy cream, and 1/2 cup half&half and mixed together. I then poured it over the entire cake letting it soak it all up! I then covered and put in the fridge to cool.⁠ .⁠ While the cake was cooling I prepared a frosting using 1/2 cup heavy cream, 2oz cream cheese, and 2 tbsp allulose blend sweetener. Mix until thick and creamy. Top cake with frosting and sprinkle with cinnamon! So straight up - fat shaming is a super shitty thing to do and it's actually shown to have the opposite effect. So, don't do it. Everyone has the right to feel comfortable and happy in their body and that's not your decision to make.⠀ ⠀ With that said - there is often too much molly coddling in the industry and the fact is - by not calling people's bullshit you are not helping them, you're harming them. If you're a coach and you're not educating your clients around these myths - you're letting your client, yourself and the industry down. If you're someone wanting to make changes, if any of these sound like you - you gotta be real with yourself. You're holding yourself back and should be honest.⠀ ⠀ Yes it's uncomfortable to be that honest with yourself. It's easy to say "oh it's genetics" or "it's sugar". It's a lot harder to say "I'm overweight because I let food control me, I eat as a coping mechanism and to deal with my insecurities". ⠀ It's a difficult and emotional thing to do - to admit that you are where you are because of your choices and actions. But if you're serious about making changes then it's something you need to do. And if you're a coach who's serious about doing the best for their clients - it's something you'll encourage them to do.⠀ ⠀ As always - if you are happy where you are, I couldn't be happier for you. 🔥 What is actually difficult 🔥 - Follow @dancudes! - Whenever someone wants to lose weight, two variables (aside form sleep) play a key role; diet and working out. For whatever reason, everyone's first assumption is that training is the hard part. Getting to the gym, lifting with compound movements and overloading the body progressively over time. Maybe it isn't everyone's first choice of something to do after work, but that isn't the hard part. In fact, going to the gym and lifting is quite easy in nature. What is hard is eating healthy consistently. Focusing on whole foods, not stuffing yourself and eating based on your activity, that is difficult especially doing it consistently over time. Difficult doesn't mean impossible though. Far from. Eating healthy involves making decisions and choices at first that may not be your first choices nor the choices you want and it involves self control. People always say that your abs are made in the kitchen and I believe that whole heartedly. You can work out has hard and long as you want, but if your diet isn't in check and you're not eating well consistently and you're not developing lifestyle habits, you'll never achieve the results you want.
