Awesome day competing yesterday at @crossfitcheltenham . absolutely loved this workout- 3rep hang snatch ladder that turns into hang clean & j once you can’t hit the weight, the bar started at 40kg and went up 7.5kg every 70seconds until it reached 92.5kg (all 3 althletes had to lift within the 70s) i was happy to hit a hang power snatch of 77.5kg but had to move to a hang clean &j at 85kg (shown in photo above) got the 3 reps on this and then only hit 1 rep at 92.5. #functionaltraining #crossfit #fitness #exercise #athlete #hwpo #grind #wod #workout #gym #gymlife #gains #physique #aesthetic #bodybuilding #strength #fitnessjourney #fitspo #fitnesslife #health #strongman #endurance #weightlifting #olympiclifting #athlete #competition #competing

This workout is one of my favourites for challenging yourself and your current capabilities. . A) Death by burpees Every minute you add 1 more burpee. Capped at 20mins once you fail you will accumulate a 30second plank thereafter. Your score = total reps completed successfully (for instance if you managed 12 reps but on 13 you fail, your score = 12). . B) This is a plod. Think about setting a pace and sticking to it, speeding up only half way through or before the end. I wanted to achieve 1 round every minute which meant I had 10 seconds rest per round. This lasted till the last few minutes where I slowed. Find your comfortable pace and maintain it. It feels similar to an Open WOD and is a great little test before October’s Open begins. . B) Standards: Russian Swings: Swing only to chin or eye level. Hinge with tight core and flat back. Step overs: KB must be held above chest height. Be that goblet style, on the shoulder or behind the neck (not my first choice - I went with on one shoulder and swapped every set). Both feet must step onto the box and touch the floor on the other side to count as 1 rep. You do not need to stand to full extension. . .
