Rows may arguably be the best movement for rear delt development. I should know...When I didn’t know how to Row for lats, I had massive rear delts. 😅 As one of the greatest contributors to shoulder extension, the rear delts can take the arm further back than the lats. In fact, most people that struggle developing their lats, are using a tremendous amount of rear delts in their back training. Learn from that. And start doing rowing movements like this to target your rear delts much better than reverse flies. Execution Tip Focus on driving your elbows behind you. If you play around “like doing the chicken dance” you will find the spot where you can drive your arms back the furthest. That is the fully contracted position you are aiming for. My bb is in Georgia. Can’t wait to see her around Christmas🎄🎄🎄🎄 - - - - BUT ANYWAY back to this routine and a little more on splitting your workouts. I’ve been steady with splitting between upper body, lower body, back and HIIT for about 10 weeks and that’s what you’ll see with my workouts. But there are other options! The key is to split it up in a way that allows you to recover to reduce the risk of injury from overtraining. - - - - For this HIIT workout go for 2-4 rounds with 45 seconds on and 15 seconds between each exercise. You can get this baby done in less than 30 minutes if you stay on top of it! - - - - Make sure to do both legs for the reverse lunge toe tap. I’m always looking for new ways to challenge my body. Having my boys home with a cold has made it hard for me to make it to the gym this week. But I have found time while they are resting to get moving. I recently added tabata training to my routine; a high intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, I am using a pair of sliders or you can also use at home a plastic plates.
