But not really because with time this euphoric sensation will disappear and we will start to see more of the “negative” part of our partner, they don’t connect anymore... This is when most of relationship ends. True Love comes after this euphoric sensation, it is a choice something that we control that we want and we will act upon it by doing what is necessary to grow and evolve the relationship. When we follow our hearts, we truly begin to love ourselves. We start to believe that we are good enough, even great. We believe that we are exactly the person we should be. That everything that has happened to us, good or bad, has made us the person we are today. That each of the things that have happened was for a reason, taught us a lesson, and enabled us to develop some skill and knowledge we possess today. Closing your eyes for a minute in the middle of practice, changes your blood pressure, the cones of the eyes adjust to a black and red space as the pupils dilate, the 8th cranial nerve tunes in sharply to compensate, the mind goes silent for a minute during this change over and then starts into overdrive. The eyes are closed maybe to shut out the pain from your arms being held out to the side. With the eyes closed, you can feel them trembling. The quadriceps are on fire and screaming loudly at you to change positions. And if this is a guided class where everyone in class has their eyes closed too, perhaps you do move, the arms hang by the side, the knee straightens for a moment. ‘It’s only a moment,’ the voice inside justifies the position change alleviating the fire that is heating up the mind. The mind thinks about anything to distract from the intense burning muscle pain that is searing up the legs. Dinner after class, or what dress to wear, maybe you go to your cave from guided meditation class, anything to divert away. Have you tried Parivrtta Hasta Padangusthasana yet? It’s a wonderful standing, balancing twist that opens the hips and hamstrings. Try it, it’ll give you a real leg up on your Monday! . Begin standing at the top of your mat. Shift your weight into your left leg, pressing down through all four corners of the foot. Draw your right knee toward your chest. Loop your first two fingers of your left hand around your right big toe. Place your right hand to your right hip. Extend your right foot forward, pressing through your heel. Stand up tall and keep your spine long as you work your right outer hip down. Now reach your right hand toward the back of your mat. Slowly start to turn your gaze back towards your right hand. Ustrasana is a backbend that boosts shoulder flexibility, increases core strength and stretches the entire front of the body. The name is derived from the Sanskrit ustra, meaning "camel," and asana, meaning "pose" or "posture"; usually referred to as camel pose in English. Practicing ustrasana is regarded as an effective way to relax the mind and find calmness and balance. It also opens the anahata (heart) chakra as the chest spreads wide. The physical act of bending over backwards is also seen as being a way of tapping into the nervous system and slowly discovering all of the emotions and feelings that are stored up within one's self.
