Been consistently doing yoga for 10mins every morning for the past four days, even though this morning I have my nephew, I still managed to get it in. Holy crap! Let's see if I can actually keep it going. I have noticed some tiny things and I may make a video regarding it all, but we'll see. Happy #selfcaresaturday!!! TAG someone who needs a little self care💜challenge today Essentially what I do as a coach is encourage my clients to take care of themselves In our crazy busy lives - especially as wives and moms - we get so wound up in taking care of everyone else that we forget to make time for ourselves I can remember a few years ago I was struggling. I was juggling a demanding corporate career (that had completely burnt me out) and trying to raise a family I was burning the candle at both ends and wasn’t taking time for me A glass (or two..or three) of wine 🍷 in the evening was the only way I felt I could wind down. But it wasn’t good for me. It left me feeling lethargic, foggy and tired the next day And it wasn’t doing a thing to help me with my stress levels It wasn’t until I decided to make time to actually take care of myself that things changed I did yoga. Meditated. I ate healthy colorful foods. Took bubble baths. And quite often danced in the kitchen with the music blaring (much to my kids horror 🤣) And after time, it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. My stress decreased. I felt more grounded. I felt calm even when I was in the middle of storms (or the Christmas holiday crazy 🎄) And I felt good And that’s what I help my clients feel... good. And self care is one way to do that So take the time today and take the challenge. Put on some awesome music and dance like nobody is watching...and watch your mood completely transform 💕

So I have recently taken on meditation and affirmations. ⁣ ⁣ It’s been great and very stress relieving. ⁣ ⁣ Most of my affirmations start with gratefulness and end with:⁣ ⁣ You are enough exactly how you are now.⁣ ⁣ In a world full of striving for goals, a workplace always demanding more, and a family that needs attention it’s easy to constantly be thinking of: “when I do this...”,⁣ “when I finish this project...”, ⁣ “when the kids start school”, ⁣ “when I lose 10 pounds...”⁣ ⁣ But the truth is, it starts NOW. The contentment needs to start TODAY or the happiness/joy will always be one step ahead and never yours to enjoy.⁣ ⁣ I’m reading some lovely books on this currently, let me know if you’re interested and I’ll share the titles!
