It's Fri-Yay! I've got the iconic tree pose (Vrksasana) for you today🌲⁣ Tree pose stabilizes your hips and builds strength in the standing leg.⁣ ⁣ 1. Stand with feet hip distance apart. Hands can be at the hips or fingers extending towards the floor. ⁣ 2. Ground the left foot into the earth, creating a solid foundation. 3. Bend the right knee towards chest and send it away from the body. ⁣ 4. The sole of the right foot can be placed on the left ankle, calf, or inner thigh. ⁣ 5. Bring the hands together in prayer at the heart center. ⁣ 6. “We are more alike than we are different.” - @dannevins For the third time ever I had the opportunity to learn from Dan Nevins while he schooled us in life lessons and yoga poses (Dan, I’m not sure my quads will ever recover from that chair pose!). Toward the end of class he dropped the truth bomb I quoted above and it blew my mind 🤯 No matter how much you may disagree with someone’s thoughts or actions, remember that we are more alike than we are different. We are all part of the human race. We all have thoughts and feelings and emotions. At the end of the day, we all just want the same things: a bed to lay our heads in, some nutritious sustenance, and to love our families. Just remember your human family is 7 billion plus strong. I love you all.
