Life comes in phases. I feel like every year I find myself thinking “I’m so overwhelmed”, “I’m so stressed”, “which path should I take?”. It’s almost never over the same things but there are a lot of times where I have to step back and evaluate where I’m at. Take time for introspection. It sucks kn the moment but it has a good outcome. I’m taking time for myself, to make lists and get things done. ✔️🌲❤️ I’ve been writing more blogs and I can’t wait to share them with all of you ✨ Have a great Tuesday!! #YOGALASKA

To feel that truth requires emotional intelligence. Clearing emotional body alchemically allows a root to crown connection. - _ Sending that energy necessitates letting go, we can’t hold on to anything to shoot the load. Oneness is a super power. ✨ Every day in December I’ve been sharing insights into yoga philosophy with you, allowing you to practice yoga off your mats and into your daily life ✨ 🌸Today is the LAST day of my yoga philosophy advent Day 19, is the eighth and final limb of yoga, Samadhi- bliss. This is the most elusive practice of all, and some yoga practioners may never get a glimpse of samadhi in this lifetime. But all of our practice leads us to this point. Samadhi means "putting together" and at this point in our practice it is the realisation that we are all one. connected, together with no separation, ego or identity. The liberation from samadhi comes from breaking free of the ego entirely. this means years and years of practice and self work to achieve this transcending that samadhi brings. Complete awareness in the present moment, no thoughts of the past or the future, no being wrapped up in emotions or situations. Samadhi is the final surrender and the fruits of the practice. Samadhi means we are free from our karma, desires and our memories. All fear, doubt and worry leaves and we are left with our true higher self- in a unchangeable state of pure love. This may sound very high and mighty but if you think of that liberating feeling you get after an amazing yoga practice where you’re on cloud nine feeling present, happy and free? well that's like a tiny tiny inkling of what even a glimpse of samadhi is. There are different stages of Samadhi, and it is more a realisation and trancension so it can be hard to get your head around. but in the state of samadhi there is no suffering and we are in total bliss. However if try desperately for samadhi it will never come, and some practitioners will never have it. There must be total surrender and renunciation. So we end where we started, on the journey to peace, liberation and freedom. Although we may not find samadhi right now, we will find a lot more happiness and joy by practising the eight limbs. always be kind and loving to yourself and know the yoga path isn't always shanti shanti! we are still only human and we do make mistakes, but remember your divine self, and that you are love. and that we are all one. Take a time out sit completely still for a moment and do a Lions Breath or two, or three for yourself... then maybe remember to do it again every time you are stressed out. Re-work how you respond to things. . Pray for the people that come to mind, tell them when you think of them... do something kind for them because you thought of them. . That’s all. Simple.

| DOWNWARD-FACING DOG WITH STACKED HIPS | ::: POSE LEVEL: Intermediate POSE TYPE: Forward-Bend, Stretch, Inversion, Strength POSE POSITION: Standing CHAKRA(S): Third Eye, Heart, Root ::: From downward-facing dog pose, extend one leg up toward the sky, keeping the hips square. Bend the knee of the raised leg so the foot drops to the opposite side, then point that knee to the sky and stack the hips atop one another. Repeat on the opposite side. ::: Downward-facing dog with stacked hips opens the hips, stretches the thigh muscles and strengthens the abdominal muscles. It relieves stress and calms the mind while energizing and rejuvenating the entire body. HOLY. I still find this word difficult. Raised as a Catholic girl, but then rebelling in my teens, the word rings still of men... men in white, ringing bells and swinging incense and saying Father, Son, Lord, over and over again. . In the Kundalini meditation Mahan Gyan Mudra - Yogi Bhajan asks us to hold our arms high, feeling the pressure between our shoulder blades, and meditate on feeling ‘holy’. The first time I practised this as a 40 day Sadhana, I spent most of the 11’ wrangling with what ‘holy’ even meant, or how it was supposed to feel. (Beyond that I just commanded my arms to stay up!) . About 15 days in my 40 day Sadhana, I looked up the etymology. Perfect. Whole. Healthy. Sacred. 🙏🏻 . I felt my resistance to the word fall away. Could I hold my arms up and feel whole? Perfect? Healthy and sacred? YES. . Reclaiming that word for myself was a huge step. I still find the same challenge with the word God. Заметила, что у некоторых начинающих практиковать йогу взаимодействие ума и тела лучше, чем у опытных. Первые внимательнее к своему телу. А все дело в эго. Практикующие думают, что они уже давно умеют и, что им уже не нужно учиться. И выполняют асаны на автомате. Тут осторожно☝🏾Если вы думаете, что уже все умеете, то это регрес. Некоторые даже реагируют, что их учат. Они же умеют😎!))) Некоторые думают, что у них хорошая растяжка, поэтому они уже Йоги, а остальное не важно. Если вы приходите на йогу, вы приходите учиться. Или нет? Может вы приходите за атмосферой, потому-то вам скучно и захотелось потусоваться? Или вы пришли дотянуть шпагатик перепутав йогу и стрейчинг? 2019 is coming but we need to honor where we are right now and reflect on the year we are still currently in. It is difficult as teachers to not rush time. We are always waiting for the next “break”, which is much deserved. But because of that, the calendar moves faster every year it seems.
