According to many dictionaries the definition of beauty is "a combination of qualities, such as shape, colour, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight". Now what we call if we also add respect in it and that's what every person desire for and we call it beautiness. This is a word which add respect and care. Every man want that his wife should be beautiful and give respect. She must carry all qualities with her. He must respect his parents too but think again beauty and respect doesn't mean for a girl only, it's for both. Beautiness should be carried by a man too. He should be ready to carry respect with him. So we call it completely beautiness...... @yesindia wishes you all a very colourful Holi. A festival that celebrates the victory of good over evil and a celebration of the arrival of spring and harvests to come. It’s the festival of colors, emotions, and happiness. And what better way to express yourself than with the vibrant colors of the rainbow? Brightly colored powders are the mainstay of Holi, during which men, women, and children carry powders and liquid colors to throw and smear on the clothes and faces of neighbors and relatives. While dry powder colors are called “gulal,” colors mixed with water are called “rang.” Tables with bags of colors are lined up as neighbors and family await the others to enter the grounds. It’s a day to celebrate and let go — loud music, local brews, and fun-filled chatter are all essential elements of the celebrations. Today is Holi but along with it it's international day of Happiness too which is required by all living beings of earth.  Start each day with a smile because this is more than a simple suggestion. It’s backed by science. When you smile, you not only trigger smile muscles in others, according to research, you also benefit. Smiling activates neural brain circuits associated with well-being and happiness. It also feels good to smile, especially when you do it regularly. The power of social connection to boost happiness and well-being is another area explored by researchers. The construct of time, for example, motivates people to choose being with family and friends more than working – behaviors associated with greater happiness. @yesindia found that happiness is a “collective phenomenon,” with people’s happiness dependent on the happiness of those with whom they connect. Hello friends, let's move now to Northeast in Ziro. Hidden in the rain-forests of Arunachal Pradesh in Northeast India lies the village of Ziro, home to the Apatanis. The Apatanis are a very interesting tribe. Unlike the other tribes, they are non-nomadic in nature. They practice permanent wetland cultivation in hilly terrain by slicing the hills, whereas other tribes practice cultivation in dry land by cutting down forests. Arguably, the most captivating members are the older women of the tribe, who wear facial tattoos and massive nose rings. The tradition, though non-existent now, dates back to pre-modern times, when the Apatani women were considered to be the most beautiful in all of Arunachal Pradesh. Men of other tribes would often steal the Apatani women, which led the Apatani men to tattoo the faces of their women and make them wear massive nose plugs, in order to make them less appealing. Good Morning. A beautiful peacock feather which is deeply connected to Indian culture welcomes the morning light to the heart of Beautiful soul. Many people even keep peacock feathers in their houses. Do you know why? Do you know what the significance of peacock with our culture? It is believed that once Lord Krishna was playing his flute, the sweet melody that poured out made the peacocks dance in joy and excitement. At the end of a long dance, they spread their feathers and the king Peacock offered with great humility its feathers as an offering. The Lord accepted it and adorned himself with it. Goddess Kaumari, another form of Shakti also rides a peacock. Peacock is also the mount of Hindu God of war Murugan, also called Kartikeya, the brother of Ganesha. The beautiful feathers of the peacock which we all adore today once were very dull. It is believed in a battle between Ravana and Lord Indra, the bird opened its feathers for Lord Indra to hide behind and wage a war. Lord Indra was saved and in gratitude, he made peacock long feathers iridescent. That is why Lord Indra is often depicted as seated on a peacock throne. These are just few mythological saying and there exists a lot more. An old bridge from the pre-independance era. It is a gateway to Munnar, the hill station. The bridge stands strong still without any renovation. Northeast have some amazing bridges too. And as we know the first bridges were believed to be made by nature — as simple as a log fallen across a stream. The first bridges made by humans were probably spans of wooden logs or planks and eventually stones, using a simple support and crossbeam arrangement. Do any old bridge exists nearby you. Good Morning everyone, let's welcome the summer with our own buttermilk. Because some of us don't know what this so In India, what we call buttermilk isn't exactly what it stands for. However, in common parlance, the delicious curd-based drink called chaas, has come to be known as buttermilk for lack of a better term.Traditionally made by churning out the butter from milk, or even curd (think of Lord Krishna's love for churned butter), one of India's favourite coolers has undergone plenty of changes over the years. What used to be made by diluting curd with water, is today made in various different ways across the country. Here it is spiced buttermilk but with a twist, here the cook added a half tea spoon of ajwain and jeera powder, salt, green chillies, coriander as per the taste to make it a lil spicy and tasty. So, it's a season now.... Summers are now knocking the door but as mostly of us love the winters, so we can't forget it. India is a country which is hybrid of many seasons and extreme took. Many places are freeze while at same time others are little warm. One example is Spiti Valley which is a cold desert mountain valley located high in the Himalayas in the north-eastern part of the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Do you know that the term Spiti means 'The Middle Land', and the place is very appropriately named, as Spiti Valley separates India from Tibet. Scantily populated, Spiti is an adventure lover’s paradise, with the famed Spiti trek attracting thousands of adventure enthusiasts every year. So, this year's winters are gone but you must mark your calender for coming winters. yesindia. We talk about the term poverty removal, even not from India but from w

We talk about the term poverty removal, even not from India but from world too. Poverty reduction remains one of the biggest challenges to the world always. According to the World Bank, nearly half of the world’s population is poor and over a billion of them are extremely poor. So how can it be eliminated? There is not sure shot solution but what we think is economic growth appears to be the best shot at poverty, infinitely better than aid. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s when India was severely dependent on aid and much aid did pour in, the number of poor people in India barely moved. India’s dependence on aid practically disappeared as it liberalised its economy and private enterprise flourished. The percentage of people below the poverty line has decreased from 36 percent in 1993-1994 to 27.5 percent in 2004-2005, according to the Planning Commission. However, studies show that income distribution has to accompany economic growth to help reduce poverty. Otherwise, it just widens the gap between the haves and the have-nots. Beautiful picture of a hand boat which are being upgraded to engine boats. @yesindia picks boat because Indian history has a lot to say on this when shipbuilding in India was a major and thriving industry. The maritime history of Indian shipbuilding begins right from the time of civilisation in Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro. The Rig-Veda – one of the four Vedas (Hindu holy writings) – documents about the variously termed parts of a vessel in the oldest existing Indian language: the Sanskrit. Also, other detailing about the ancient marine industry is documented in the Arthashastra and various other writings of the ancient Indian folk-lore. In the context of these documentations, it needs to be noted that the ancient maritime India was also majorly influenced by the then-prevailing system of societal superiority. Yesterday @yesindia posted about the kids of this earth, today let's talk about the experience and guidance. Yes, the people who are like our father/mother or grandfather/grandmother. I will talk about one simple thing. How they enjoy? As we all know, old age is a great time to sit back and enjoy life. These people are much wiser, people’s opinions do not easily fluster them, they are much more comfortable in their own skin, and they have the freedom to do all the things you want to do. It revealed that happy seniors had less trouble getting up, dressing, or taking a shower, as opposed to unhappy seniors who were twice as likely to develop diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and strokes. Based on all these facts a d studies let's try to understand them a little more.....Good Morning Image Credit @reflectionsbyprajakta Image selection and text orchestration by @yesindia #yesindia #photographers_of_india #mumbai #nature #grandfather #canon #travel #moodygrams #nikon #picoftheday #mypixeldiary #indiapictures #landscape #india_gram #india #picture #desi_diaries #indianphotography #storiesofindia #indiaclicks #incredibleindia #beauty #beautiful #friends #bestfriends #love #photooftheday #happy #cute #old
